Oliver and the bee

A couple of saturdays ago, I was getting ready to go out to dinner when Lily yelled" Olies been stung by a bee"!! Oh dear here we go I thought, no dinner and a HUGE vet bill! We couldn't find an obvious place that he had been stung so assumed he may have swallowed the bee. He went very quiet very quickly and rather floppy with short breaths. It seemed like anaphalactic shock but not too extreme. I rang Murdoch vet and the girl told me I could bring him in for a needle (at great cost) but that I could give him antihistimine if I wanted too. I decided to take a risk, trust my instincts and give him a quarter of a tablet of antihistimine. It did the trick in about 7 mins. Whew....stressful!! I'm glad it was all ok. It's hard to tell the outcome at the time. Hopefully he will stay away from bees in future but I doubt thats the last dangerous moment for our little adventure seeker!!!

Olivers Country jaunt

Well Oliver had his first trip away down South to Narrogin on the weekend! He was a very good boy in the car there and back. He met my parents' gigantic black cats Phantom and Pluto who took rather an avid dislike to him and started attacking anyone who walked by including Lily who, after being clawed on the leg, fell over and smashed her knee on the hard tiles and got a huge bruise. Jasper got a few puncture wounds too but Ollie, Chris and I managed to escape! Anyway I think Ollie likes travelling..... stay tuned for his next adventure!!!

Life with Oliver

Oliver is our cute little new fam member we rescued through S.A.F.E. He has had a rather exciting life so far,
born in Parabadoo, going to be put to sleep with a big needle, moving to Karratha and then flying all the way to Perth to live in our mad house. He fits in very well as he is one crazy puppy!  Here is a pic of him at 7 weeks, he melts hearts, except when he is pooing on out clothes and stealing our undies! He is seriously adorable now at 9 weeks and a little bigger...and a little rascal!
